This is an FYI from someone who lives in the area. Mt. Nebo is not in Mena, as this listing indicates. It is in Dardanelle, near Russellville, which is nearly 3 hours from Mena. Queen Wilhelmena State Park and Wilhelmena Mountain are in Mena. Not Nebo. more

mount nebo is one of the best places to camp as a family, our campsite was by the playground. the grandbaby had a ball plus the campsite was big enough to set up a volleyball set and a small pool for the baby. we will definitely be going back. more

Made reservations at Mt. Nebo State Park Cabins one year in advance for our anniversary. What a disappointment to discover that Mt. Nebo State Park had given our cabin to someone else after a three-hour drive! To top it off they still charged us for the three night rental even though we had to drive all the way back home... more

Beautiful small waterfall that you can walk behind. Be sure to walk down to the waterfall and then continue your hike. Hiking up to the waterfall is tough. Great rock formations. more

While they have some newer A-frame cabins, we stayed in one of the refurbished cabins that were built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Beautiful. Awesome stonework. Those who've never been to Arkansas may question it as a vacation site, but the views in the Ozarks are breathtaking, and these cabins are just the thing for getting away.... more
