Bansko is the best place for Ski in Bulgaria. It's similar with the Austrian type of ski centres. Unfortunately there's only one lift to get up in the mountain from the city. Sometimes there are too many people waiting for it. But when you get in it's pretty fast and there is no waiting for the rest of the lifts.

If you are into skiing or snowboarding, come to Bansko. Great facilities at reasonable prices. And wonderful options to spend the evening in one of the traditional restaurants with local food specialties.

I spend more than a month this winter in Bansko village. The snow was great this season. Unfortunately when fresh snow would come the ski resort wasnt well organised to open all pists. Moreover when World Cup Slalom was organised the resort was too crowded for any ski. I didnt find locals offering hospitality at any point. Taxi drivers were... More

About 20 lev for the ski lift and a good ride. You have to be quick when getting on but very organized for a fairly new ski resort town.

Very good winter resort. I was there on a ski vacation in Jan 2012, and although I don't ski I had a great time, you just cannot be bored in Bansko. The ski tracks are well maintained, the little city has this typical resort-vibe of a place where people feel good, and the night life is awesome. My fav place... More

We arrived after a four day blizzard, so we had the most perfect snow, pure and crispy. There was a bit of a line there due to peak season, but once you get an instructor, they take you through a quicker pass. There are many roads, with many difficulties levels, a fast rescue response and a real-time based electronic signs... More

OK, it's not the alps, and the pistes are all grouped together one one area of mountain, so it may not be the best option for the more advanced skiier, but as a intermediate/family resort it's ideal. The best runs are right at the top of the mountain, and there are as many blues as reds here. Big wide pistes,... More
