A warm welcome will greet you when you arrive. Staff are highly attentive and friendly. Banter between us and the staff, especially chefs, was good fun. Basically you learn how to cook Jordanian food, guided by a chef, in groups of up to 6 people. The whole experience is fantastic fun, lots of laughter, great food, wonderful learning experience and... More

This was a very unique experience in Jordan. The fun and conversation with other guests while we prepared dinner together was a good part of the evening. I read some reviews that offered complaints about the size of the group the evening they attended, and I think that could be a deterrent to feeling as involved, but our table worked... More

We had a fun experience cooking our own Jordanian dinner. The night we were there the electricity went out but the staff was great at improvising and it didn't ruin our night at all.

It was possibly a little expensive but worth it if you consider how much food you got, that (soft) drinks were free and that you got all the recipes to take home with you (plus some extra if you asked the friendly staff!).

Highly recommend Petra kitchen for a good meal and a bit of fun. We met some interesting people and learnt a few new kitchen skills. Easy walk from the Movenpick Hotel. The shop upstairs also supports local crafts.

It is expensive and while the staff are very courteous and friendly, and the food good, we did not learn much. It is supposed to be like a cooking class but we were chopping parsley ! That was our class for the night. The soup was already cooked, the tomato broth was already boiling, the rice was already done, the... More

Not sure if we were there when there was a large tour group, but there were almost 50 people in the cooking lesson so we ended up chopping vegetables for an hour and then watching while others cooked. I learned lots and loved the food - fantastic! I was just expecting a more intimate experience and I was a little... More
