But until you have stood in front of it, you haven't really seen it. An intricate, awe inspiring building, carved into the side of a canyon.
The reviews we read said to arrive at 10 a.m. for the sun to be on the site for the most beautiful look. Maybe it's because it's winter, but I thought it actually looked more beautiful before the sun (which never shown completely on it for us). The Treasury is tlocated as a breathtaking start for flur visit to Petra.Unfortunateluy we were not able to get in - but the facade is marvellous.
you see it for the first time, and it is magnificent! Our guide was really amazing- he explained each symbol in this structure and how every civilization carved their story in their reign.
The treasury is truly beautiful and not so far from the entrance of the site. The walk to the treasury is actually stunning particularly around noon.

The whole site is huge and takes several days to explore. Do wear decent foot wear as the ground... More
The reason I came to Petra. Beautiful and awe-inspiring. If you can, do the Petra By Night, definitely worth it.
