Just in 2 hours you climb to real volcanic crater - with a steaming landscape and awesome views. 20 minutes drive from Akan Onsen/Lake, the touristy village - it's signposted to Onneto lake off the road to Obihiro. The approach through the forest is beautiful. Comihg by bus from Akan Onsen (5 a day) you get off at Meakan Onsen... more
