Palm Beach (Limni) is at the end of Kourtaliotiko Gorge just below the Preveli Monastery on the south coast and is accessible only by foot or by boat. There is also Vai Beach on the east coast of the island which is known for their palm trees. more

Hmmm - well the person above is confused. Palm beach in NOT in or near Plakias. Plakias is located on the south side of Crete - opposite Rythymno.
