This a really pretty town, with beautiful walks. But it also felt very touristy, with many of the same shops. Walk the promenade, have some lunch, maybe a museum but skip the rest, you've seen it before.

Some nice places along the promenade however overall it does not have much to offer. There are the inevitable street wandering sellers but also the street urchins that have a crack at pestering tourists and following them around for money. Keep your valuables close.

This is very small but very beautiful promenade. Few cafes, small port, lighthouse on one end and charming little square on the other. Overall, Nafplio pleasantly surprised us and we enjoyed it very much

The view towards the Bourtzi island fortress is spectacular, especially at dawn and dusk; however this is largely obscured by the harbour car park on the one side. Good for watching sailboats and fishing ships. Not much in the way of shopping. OK stop for stretching your legs after a bus ride.

The walk around the hill where Akronafplia castle is, is amazing! You have a view of just the sea, and the path is dressed in rocks. It has benches from time to time and a hole in the mountain! Around this lively, and very pretty, port town. The walk eventually leads around a peninsula and then up to the castle.

Just wonderful, lovely for romantic walks or bike rides with children, especially in the summer sunsets are amazing.
