The museum is small, but excellent. The collection of objects from Egypt and Peru is amazing. Ever seen a crocodile mummy? The California native American collection is also good, but not displayed as well.

Phoebe A. Hearst Anthropology Musuem is an interesting museum of Native California Cultures as well as other international cultures. It has a vast collection of 260,000 plus items - they regularly change the display to show only some of the most interesting items from this collection. There is also a good museum art store.
