Just a little place off Highway 6 in Bishop (where a sign proclaims that you can drive all the way to Massachusetts if you're so inclined), but what fun it is to visit! Hard to imagine that this sleepy little valley had a bustling railroad system at one time. The buildings, the trains that you can go through, the personable... More

I've been coming here since grade school and still enjoy a trip to Laws. We take the kids here a few times a year and we still have a great time and see something new or undiscovered everytime. The volunteers here do a great job of adding or updating displays, so there's usually something new everytime we come. The staff... More

Been there three times. Our favorite thing is the real steam locomotive in the middle of everything. There are houses and business's of the era with the interiors all set up. A real turn style, a new mining mill, fire station and loads of other things to look at. If you like old west stuff, this is the place to... More

We love Laws. It has a lot of the old town buildings and trains from the railroad days. You can also bring a picnic lunch and eat on the grounds. They have a library that contains a lot of info on the local history of Bishop.

Interesting place to stroll through for an hour or two. Some interesting old vehicles and replicas of historic buildings (including some built for the Steve McQueen movie "Nevada Smith"). A quick, easy drive from Bishop. $5 admission when I went (January 2010).
