For an adrenaline-rush, at a reasonable price, go quadding at Ocotillo Wells (Close to Borrego Springs) approx 85 miles from San Diego http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1217 This area is a vast desert with miles of sand and dunes to quad around. We booked our trip though "Calactive". Each quad was approx $70 for 4 hours plus fuel (which amounted to about half a... more
