Wonderful location, wonderful forest. Unfortunately, all California state parks are suffering in the recession, but this old place is a treasure. Prepare for cold days & evenings, it's normal. On two different trips there, I've slept inside a hollow redwood tree in my campsite.

Beautiful and easy to get to. Lots of trails and an experience everyone should encounter.
