What were they thinking? The very respected owner of the V Sattui winery in the Napa Valley spent tons of money to build a garish replica of a castle to house another winery. I'm not wine savvy enough to know if the wines they produce are of any great significance, but I do know that their "castle" is an eyesore... More

This is a "must see" in Napa. A beautiful castle done to perfection by the owner. Just like the castles we saw in Italy! Our tour guide, Patric, did a great job. Everything is explained and all questions are answered. Tasting was a great experience....standing at a bar! The wines are delicious. When checking out, Meghan told us Patric had... More

There are many things to see and do in the Napa Valley (wine tasting of course, dining, ballooning, hiking and seeing touristy things). This is not the place for dedicated wine tasters, but is great to see what a modern-day castle would look like. Built over 30 years and in a style that mimics the real castles of old, it... More

My husband said he expected castles and huge underground cellars (like we saw in Tuscany) at Sonoma/Napa Valley...so I was excited to find this vineyard in a local publication. I had visited the area before, but this is one I hadn't seen. I expected it to be very touristy, and I guess it is, but we really enjoyed it and... More

Allow three hours. One hour for the tour, one hour for the tasting and one hour to walk around the gift shop and revisit the castle and take lots of pictures. The Tour Guide was excellent with the correct amount of facts and figures given and a bit of humour once in a while. I enjoyed this place very much.

Talk about a unique experience. You can not beat touring a real castle followed with wine tasting. If you search online you can also find 2 for 1 tour and tasting coupons. We had a great time!

Castello di Amorosa is the real deal. I had seen a segment about Castello di Amorosa on the “In Wine Country” television show and decided to check it out during a long weekend trip to Napa with my wife. I was amazed at the authenticity of the Castle itself and the quality of the wine produced there. The few descriptions... More

A great hour or two to wander around the magnificent estate. Take lots of pictures! The wine tasting was pushy, and the wine - not so good.

There were 4 of us and we decided that we wanted to do something unique. We did nultiple wine tastings throughout Sonoma and Napa and they were all wonderful, but then we did the food tour at Castello. It cost $ 69 per person and it is worth every penny of it. You get to go into private areas that... More

I love castles so we had to visit despite not being able to find a 2 for 1 voucher for tastings like all the other vineyards we visited. The castle itself is spectacular and the story behind it quite incredible too. Owned by a multi-generational Napa family of Italian origin and built using ancient techniques to give authenticity. I wouldn't... More
