The new modern church built on the site is somewhat distracting to the rest of the site. The town of Jesus is very good to see how it was during the time of Jesus. Near the Sermon on the Mount brings the stories in the Bible home. Should be on your tour of Israel.

An archeological treasure that shows remnants of the early fishing village where Apostles Andrew, Simon Peter, James and John and tax collector lived. Home town of Jesus. Overlooks the Sea of Galilee, near to place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Remains of 4th century synagogue and House of Peter. Very interesting area and a must see for...
