It is called "Ayoon" stream natural reserve. it has 2 entrances - the top in the town of Metula the lower on the way to the town. What a surprise this was. We only decided to go there because it was so close to our accommodation and it landed up being the highlight of our holiday. It's only a short walk of about 10 minutes from the car park to the waterfall. There is a wooden platform from which you can safely get close to the waterfall... More

In Israeli scale this is one of the best waterfalls. If you happen to be around in the spring, after the snow melt, it is the best. for half a day trip you can go up and start the trip in Metula city - the trip is in the "Ayoon" river, along a maintained path (not suitable for disabled people... The best time to visit the Tanur is in a nice winter day and in the spring when there are lots of flowers if you come any other time check before ithere if there are water in the waterfall . The tanur is the 3rd waterfall in the Aiun river .3 waterfalls the first is in Metula can be seen... More

The Tanur waterfalls are one of three different falls on a hike that takes about an hour from south of Metula, Israel, to the northern part of town.
