The "article" appears to be just a several sentence intro without any details. Where is the article? more

Save the $50.00, the walking tour was not worth it. Besides showing us gardens that we could have viewed on our own just walking down the street, we were shown two hotel lobby's, one was the Normandy, we stopped in there to see the fat cat that looked like a lion! Who cares! We were shown Clint Eastwood's old house... more

We were there last October, for our very first visit to this lovely place. We learned of this tour in AAA, and then based on the T/A reviews, decided this would be a good introduction to this fairytale town. And it was .......... at least the first half or so anyway. Gail took us through hidden courtyards and gardens, and... more

Gale, who runs Carmel Walks, knows the stories behind all of its courtyards and crevices. Carmel is a gorgeous place filled with 'fairy tale' cottages, and Gale brought the fairy tales of Carmel's bohemian history to life. As someone who's been to Carmel several times, this was a reawakening for me. more

We booked our "walking tour" in Carmel-by-the-Sea from a brochure found in our hotel room. We had planned to do a "self-guided" tour we found on the internet, however, with photographer, Gale Wrausmann as our guide, we discovered the special charms of Carmel-by-the-Sea. She took us on a 2-hour guided walking tour thru secret pathways, hidden courtyards, award-winning gardens, and... more

We honeymooned and also spent our 50th anniversary in Carmel, with many visits in between. But our eyes were newly opened to the fascinating culture, history, and captivating stories about the village on Gale's Carmel Walks tour! We, with our dog, were guided through hideaway courtyards bursting with flowers, lovely local hotels, and unique restaurants, and Gale told how the... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Carmel with Carmel Walks. It was one of the high-points of our trip to California. We saw many hidden courtyards, gardens and cottages that we never could have found on our own. We learned about the creation and customs of this charming village from our knowledgeable guide, who also shared interesting insights into the... more

It wasn't all that interesting the way the tour was delivered. I learned more about Carmel from the internet. Our tour guide who has been doing tours for 15 years didn't give us many Carmel facts. More of the trip was focused on herself and her current works of art. We did hear about how dog friendly the city was... more

The best way to see Carmel is to take the Carmel Walks tour. You explore all the nooks and crannies, and see things you would never find on your own. The gardens, courtyards, and cottages are charming, and the bohemian history is fascinating, too. more
