Great river, close to town. A little for everyone, and proximate to lots. Perfect on a hot summer day.

Great place to go on a hot summer afternoon. Especially like Henningsen Park in Lotus. Or, taking one of the many raft trips.

IF you ever, in this life, have a chance to go whitewater rafting down the beautiful South Fork of the American River in Coloma, CA (and don't do it), you are missing out! As a newly trained whitewater rafting guide, this river has it all: good rapids, beautiful riverside scenery and great camping! The best campground off the river I... More

We went on a half day whitewater rafting trip on a Saturday afternoon for a bachelor party with Tributary Whitewater Tours. It was a lot of fun. We were actually running a little late due to traffic on the one lane road to get to Coloma. After calling Tributary to tell them we were running late (the lady on the... More

For the 18th straight year, I went white water rafting on the American River with Gold Rush River Runners. Whether I go rafting on the South Fork or the Middle Fork of the American River, I always go with Gold Rush because I trust them, 100%. Tym, the owner, takes good care of return guests, and all of the guides... More

We did the 2 day camping/whitewater rafting package. We were allowed to arrive the night before the trip free of charge (bring food if arriving early). You can bring you own tent or you can rent one of theirs for a fee. 2 lunches, 1 breakfast and 1 BBQ dinner is included in the package. Maybe I was hungry from... More

I just finished my 6th annual trip with whitewater connection with my mom for mothers day. These guys(and gals) are the best if you want to take a river run. There are many outfits but none I would trust with my mom or myself. They know their stuff. You are gonna have a blast....... I truly cant think of anything... More

Our family struggled to come up with something new and exciting to do together for our summer vacation. The kids were bored with endless road trips and treks to the same old attractions. After browsing the internet, whitewater rafting popped up as a possible alternative! After countless hours of looking for a company that fit the bill, Whitewater Connection was... More

The people at Whitewater Connection were amazing. They were pros. They made the trip fun, funny and were experts at navigating the river. They had a strong concern for our safety and kept us psyched up about our adventure the entire time. I would strongly recommend you take a whitewater rafting trip with Whitewater Connection down the south fork of... More

Just got back earlier this month from the two day rafting trip with our three kids 19, 16, 8. Everyone had a great time. We booked with River Runners out of LA. The guides are extremely hospitable, warm and friendly. Hillary was our guide and she did an awesome job of giving us some bang for our buck in terms... More
