This is a big place with a large number of trails and some are quite steep, so be prepared for a lot of walking! If you have the time and money, take one of the tours - you'll get better oriented to the park and get a break from walking! The staff are generally knowledgeable and helpful. The animals aren't... What a great day. We got a great deal on Groupon, Tram and entry to the Park. Weather was great. The animals were just adorable. We went mid week and there were no growds. The tram ride was fun and very informative.

We have been buying Zoo passes for years & totally enjoy going to both the Zoo & The Safari Park. Such a great way to spend the day outside! The best part is taking a small child & being able to see the excitement through their eyes. Passes are a must!

One of the nicest surprises is outside food is allowed into the park. We didn't know this in advance or would have been spared the high cost of eating park food. Quite unusual. The train ride was very informative. We were just lucky with our timing as far as seeing many animals that usually aren't so easy to observe. After... More

This is an amazing place we have annual passes and have been going for 20 years. This is the closest you will get to natural habitat. There are plenty of fun things for the kids as well, zip lines, picnic ares playgrounds. This is must see and do

I spent a day at the Safari Park on my own, then spent the next day at the zoo with my husband. I would say they are complementary experiences, but if I had to choose only one, I'd go with the Safari Park. They cost the same ($42 for a 1 day ticket) and many of the animals are the... More

Exhibits are well organized and there is plenty of space for the animals to roam around. Purchased the 2 hours Caravan Safari - what a great experience. Got to feed giraffes and rhinos and see many animals up close. Read some of the other TripAdvisor reviews, the Cart Safaris don't seem to be worth it. Also, don't miss the cheetah... More

I love this animal park!!!! Although there is alot of walking, seeing the animals in an environment more similiar to their nature habitat is the best. Do not miss the tram. We went twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I liked seeing how the animals behaviors/actions were different during the day. The cheetah run is excellent.... More

My wife and I went to the safari park a day after visiting the zoo. Here you will find animals with lots of room. They use this facility to raise new generations of wild animals to be either sent to San diego zoo or other zoos around the world or even back to the native country (if applicable) We took... More

I was very excited to go to the safari park after hearing about it from a friend. We bought the two visit pass to enjoy the zoo and safari park. The safari park is about 30 mins from the zoo. The safari park is nice but if you have been to the Animal Kingdom at Disney World it might not... More
