What a great way to experience the feel of the railroad
We went to Fillmore to check out the Thomas the Train Days. It was wonderful, my son had a great time. Best bet is to take the early train, less crowded, and not hot! All the free activites were great. Would def come again.
We had a party for our Rotary Club and everyone enjoyed both the meal and the train ride.
First of all, all employees seem to be friendly, cheerful, helpful and genuinely concerned with customers' safety/comfort ( or at least lack of discomfort).
Train ride itself: pleasant but not exciting. Scenery: pleasant, in places beautiful California landscape. Fillmore: pleasant little farm town. Santa Paula: pleasant little town with a few museums. (Probably better seen on your own. You could...

There was so much more they could have done at the destination to make it more fun than just buying pumpkins...was disappointed.
Good place for a day with the family. Gets the kids excited about trains, which is a good thing. You'll have a nice time.

The train was very ,very hot and the way the seats are set up is very uncomfortable. you are facing two other people and if they are taller then three feet your legs will be smashed into each other. My six year old had to sit Indian style to be comfortable. Santa got on train after 1/2 hour trip to...

We went with 3 families with 2 and 2 1/2 year olds.
The train ride is about 40 minutes from fillmore to the pumpkin patch one way.
Since it's halloween time, you expect the DJ to play goofy halloween hits of the last 80 years...

My boyfriend and I went on the Viva Lost Vegas Murder Mystery Dinner Train Ride. In the beginning everything was great; the slap stick entertainment was corny but funny, salad & bread was good. Then dinner was served. As soon as plate was put in front of me, I smelled BAD meat. I cut a piece, tasted it, spit it...
