This lake provides a great outdoor experience. If you bicycle, boat, fish, ride a horse, walk, sun bathe, or run marathons, you'll find that activity here. The Best thing about this campground is the proximity to Folsom (3 miles) & Granite Bay (3 miles). The campground itself is decently kept up, the bathrooms;not so much. This is actually a reservoir but is still quite scenic. Especially as you get into northern parts of the fingers, where the rivers enter the lake. Granite bay is probably best beach. Beals is very nice too. The boat slip @ Browns ravine is very convenient.
