When the annual big wave contest is on the best place to watch is on a t.v. viewing the live web cam video. Don't try to go to the beach or hillside above. too far from the action to see anything.

Good pub food, good drinks, good vibe. On weekends this place draws quite a crowd. It s nice to sit outside even in winter as they have outdoor heaters and a fire. Love the quaint sea village vibe.

My son and I went to Mavericks hoping to see big waves. Between November and March waves can get up to 50 feet. We didn't get to see big waves, but we did have a nice outing.
