We spent a great day at June Mountain. The slopes were virtually empty. The blue runs were well groomed and fun. The blacks were chsllenging, if a touch limited compared to Mammoth. The lift staff were great - one of them told me he was "living the dream". Fabulous line! The terrain parks were good. Well worth a day trip.... More

June Lake has it all! Views, fishing, skiing and not as busy as other ski resorts in the Sierras.

What a great surprise this little brother to Mammoth mountain is! We practically had the slopes to ourselves for 5 days. The lift staff are top notch, helping kids on and off with smiles and thumbs up. Ski lessons are much less here than at Mammoth and our kid had 3 days of " group" lesssons all to himself! The... Though it's not the largest, or steepest, June Mountain is by far my favorite mountain in the west due to it's laid-back vibe, crazy good tree riding, and complete lack of crowds.

My 4 year old son got his first ski lesson and the instructors were very nice and patient with him. We LOVED June Mtn, it was very nice and mellow compared to Mammoth and we plan to make this a fav family spot each winter.

June Mountain is always a great time. The runs are long and wide open. The snow there is always great. It's like a little local secret. I got my lift tickets at skiforfree they have some good deals for any day of the week for this season. I got the double day tickets with the promo code EASY1

In Feb. three of us, who are 50+, enjoyed an excellent 1-hr. snowshoe excursion at Double Eagle with Robert C. With no previous experience on snowshoes, we learned enough in 3 mins. to hike through 3 ft. drifts in woods as Robert pointed out beautiful vistas, evergreen trees, and claw marks on trees of bears (now hibernating). An invigorating way... More

We love skiing and snowboarding June Mountain! It's way less crowded than Mammoth and is very family friendly. June is great for those who are snow bunnies to intermediate level. Black diamond skiers/snowboarders won't feel as challenged, but there are a few runs for them too. June has a family atmosphere that's fun without the long lines. We make the... More
