I enjoyed the park, but the mosquitoes were horrendous. It's a marshy area near the lake, and the mosquitoes were merciless. Take spray!

I went camping here for my 30th birthday and we had a wonderful time. The campsites and restrooms were clean and spacious. The wildlife was abundant, but no bears or mountain lions. The nature trails were absolutly facinating and the views were spectacular. You could even walk right through ancient Indian villages where their homes and sweat houses used to... More

I guess I should have given this park a better rating than average. I prefer ocean camping so that was the reason for this rating. Have family members who love camping here. Good fishing in creek, boat launch and swimming beach. Love the beach to watch the sunrise. Great nature center and guided walks.

We did a quick drive through on our exploration of Clear Lake. Wooden bridge spans over creek (river?) flowing into the lake. Would like to go back and rent a boat and spend time on the lake.

A group of us hiked up the newly-opened trail to the top of Mt. Knocti. You can drive up to a parking lot about halfway up, but beware the DUST if you're going in the dry season. I have rarely seen such dust--my blue car turned clay-colored! Near the start of the trail is a weird section that loops around... More

I went to Kelseyville to visit some friends - They took me around the countryside and to the County Fair - I was really touched finding the relaxed athmosphere and the simple fair food that could be enjoyed in the fair grounds - They even had an auction to sell yard animals grown by the children and teenagers of the... We visited Clear Lake SP last week and it was not what I was hoping for. The water is gross all around the edges. If you want to swim you'll need to take a boat out to the middle of the lake. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the campsites were large

I'm gonna write my honest review of Clear Lake State Park. We just returned from this state park August 2010 for our camping trip with great friends. I do want to say that we are the kind of group that would have fun anywhere we went. We know how to make a bad situation great. And although this experience was... More
