The food and stuff here are all overpriced. They only converse in Japanese, and when trying to explain stuff in English, they give disjointed one word answers.

At first, it didn't seem very encouraging, with rather cheesy samurai statues at the gate and some wear and tear are visible on the buildings. However we soon surrendered ourselves to the whole experience - note that "historic" in the title of this place is applied very loosely. Came here because we were afraid kids would get too bored in hotel. Would give it 5 stars if the tickets cost half as much. Not a good value when they charge you around 2750 yen per person and all you do is see three short performances that weren't that great.

The "Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura" is the name of this Edo-period village. Jidaimura celebrates a time of Samurais and Ninjas during Edo period Japan, which makes it a really fun location to visit with the young ones.
