I was disappointed in both the condition and layout of the front 9 but the back 9 is just spectacular. Had the front side been the same, it might be in my top 5 courses. Definitely play this course if staying on a resort golf package from the La Quinta Resort.

Did a golf lesson here (excellent!) then golfed...front 9 was scenic but unassuming...back 9 was like a virtual golf world! Some really awesome holes and vantage points...super fun! Loved the clubhouse and service too.

What a golf course. I am from MN and have had the privilege of playing a handful of courses in/near Palm Springs...this is by far my favorite. Stunning views, plenty of elevation changes, yet very playable.

staff were fantastic and welcoming. course in its usual excellent condition. For an average golfer (me) it was a real challenge, with plenty of sand, water, and tough greens. Pace of play was good despite being a full day.

in terms of value for the golfing dollar, this is a poor bargain. the front nine is a quasi links layout with a number of the tees uncomfortatably close to the previous green.. the back nine is a more traditional layout with a number of nice vistas. in retrospect, there were 3-4 holes on the front nine and 5-6 holes... Much of the course hugs the mountain range, with the mountains in play on several holes. Although not the most challenging of the La Quinta Course it is the most visually stunning.

You are right against the mountains...unreal! It was opened as a private course and still maintains that feelings...great for good golfers as well as beginners.

The mountain course is beautiful. Challenging for my husband, who hadn't golfed in 4 months, but the views from above the 16th were amazing. The wind was up a little for part of the round, so it helped that we were playing with someone that lived on the course, and could help with club selection.

Nice variety of holes on the course. The mountain views were amazing but a hard course to play.
