Went with my family including two high school age daughters. The rides were not bed, but most had flaws. The Mummy ride was awesome, but pretty short. As far as thrill rides go at this park, probably the best for thrill seekers. The Simpson's ride was a pleasant surprise. Had cheesy written all over it going in, but the actual... more

I took my parents here last month and they absolutely enjoyed it! We especially liked the studio tour. Even the Jurassic park and the Mummy rides were good. We were done with all the rides/tours that we were interested in a day and therefore didnt find the need to avail the free second day offer that came with the ticket. more

Universal is overpriced and tired. A family of 4 cost US$278 (kids aged 8 & 11 both had to pay as adults). The film studio tour is good but the line is long. Finally we wanted to get the shuttle back to the metro station at around 4.30. We waited for 15 mins and then the shuttle drove straight past... more

Here are my tips and guidelines for those who are interested in going to Universal Studio: 1) Buy the ticket/pass online (http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/tickets.html) so that you can avoid the long queue 2) Arrive there early in the morning. This is to prevent the long queue for all the ride/tour. 3) Once you enter the entrance, you will seeing a lot of... more

We took our kids who are 6, 10 and 12. The 10 and 12 year olds had a blast. They are at the perfect age where the rides were thrilling, and the movie information was interesting and educational. They both said the highlight was the Waterworld Show. Don't miss it. The stunts they do are incredible. My 6 year old... more

If you are a young couple looking for something fun, well, don't go there! You are in LA and there are much, much, much better things to do!!! It's an amusement park like many you can find around the world... actually it looks even old and it's not really funny. Europeans... STAY AWAY!!!! more

My family of 4 spent the day at Universal yesterday. We went early and did the Simpsons ride first. This ride was the only ride that had over a 30 minute wait during the day but first thing in the morning it was 5-10 minute wait. The Studio Tour was neat but a bit long for our 8 and 10... more

Universal Studios is in Hollywood, Ca. It is a great place to visit for families with children ages 3-103. There is the Curious George water play area for the kids and lots of great shows like the Creature from the Black Lagoon that showcase the best of Hollywoods motion picture industry. Make sure you bring a change of clothes because... more

Whilst doing Universal Studios is a must see attraction for anyone with a love of movies, the main question that one asks is should I do the VIP Tour - is it worth the money, and do I get bang for my buck? Having recently done the VIP Tour (October 2009) I offer the following pros and cons. PROS: You... more
