If you're in LA, you have to go to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The hand/foot prints in the courtyard of Grauman's Chinese Theatre are much more impressive than the stars on the pavement. Beware guys handing out "free" CD's or the like - if you happen to accept one, they will then require a "donation".

Having grown up near Hollywood and watched the stars set into the cement all my life, I still get a thrill walking up and down the boulevard noting who has a star, who I remember, who I have no idea who they are (so I look them up on my cell phone). You can see images of every comic book hero, super hero, rock & roll star and mooching bum in one place. The beautiful theaters & non-beautiful quirky stores-stars of the beautiful & talented all walked this walk. Some pretty decent restaurants & watering holes. GOTTA GO SOMETIME!!!
