Beautiful view of LA. We really enjoyed one of the shows of the planetarium and seeing the stars from their powerful telescopes.

Tour the entire building and watch the planetarium shows. This is a great place for the whole family. On a clear day view the city and Catalina Island from the outdoor balcony. Walk the grounds and learn about our history of astronomers. Have fun!.

Even if just for the great views of the hills and surrounds, you must go here. The "show" put us both to sleep, but the views are amazing, and (apart from the show) it's all free. The observatory stuff is interesting. Parking can be a problem, but there's plenty if you don't mind a little walk. I wish we went... More

Dislike..........when there are alot of kids running everywhere. Liked.....On a clear day the views of L.A. to the ocean is magnificent. At night it is always a gorgeous view.

I love this place. They have great shows and it is a great hike up if you park your car at the bottom. A great place for a family to visit with kids or even adults for some good education and information and have fun at the same time.

Take a drive through Griffith Park, and combine this with a day on Hollywood Boulevard. A visit to the famous observatory will assure you that LA is truly one of the planet's best-located cities, and a cluster of treasures. Kids love it, as well as adults.

At the Griffith Observatory, I got to see the pacific Ocean from there. I also went inside there and saw a real telescope from the old days.
