Nice course, actually under the trees. You feel like you are really some place special when playing here. The little restaurant is a decent place but the service is VERY slow!

This is a great course on a hot summer day in Sonoma County. In the redwoods you can beat the heat. The course is fairly well maintained. It is narrow because of the trees but there are no water hazards and only a couple of sand traps. The restaurant is okay for greasy, ho-hum food and a drink but it... More

We go here twice a week, once for lessons and once to play as we're on vacation in Bodega Bay. Vern is a fantastic teacher/pro who has helped my game and my granddaughter's game. He's got an easy going attitude and knows how to teach. Playing the course is a pleasure in the redwoods. It's flat and 9 holes, just... More

My daughter is working on her golf game and each summer we try a different teacher to improve her game. We hit on a gem with Vern at Northwood. He has taught her more in a few lessons than all the other teachers' combined. The course is beautiful in the redwoods, the play is quick, and the course the right... More

I am an avid backpacker and golfer and I love this place. My family had rented a house near guerneville and before anyone woke up in the morning I went out and played this course (three times). It's an affordable nine-hole course and I had no trouble getting on without a reservation. The draw is that the course meanders through... More

Well it had been 3 years since I had the pleasure to walk through the redwoods as Alister did many years ago and once again just enthralled as to the beauty of this little gem in the wine country outskirts. Don't miss this one as it truly exlemlifies Alister's creativity as an architect and naturalist.
