Dog friendly and my kids love it. Parking can be a challenge.

I suppose you can still go there on a cloudy day and have it be a nice, quiet walk. But this beach is now usually crowded---try and find a place to park on a pretty day. Good luck.

This beach is very clean and one of my favorites in the area. It is a bit of a drive from santa barbara but worth it once you get there. We always love to grab a drink at the four seasons and walk on the beach, the sunsets are always amazing from here.

Great place to people watch. Nice, small clean beach off the 101 at Olive Mill Rd, make left and drive down a few blocks to beach. Amazing views and great walking path to the right of the beach past the Ty Warner mansion. What Views!

Only on the busiest sunny days might there be a parking problem. Otherwise, you can usually score a spot about 30 paces from this quiet beach. It's "dog friendly" so lots of locals chose this beach as their "go-to" spot. When the tide is high, there is not much sand to flop on, so check those tide tables.

I visited Butterfly Beach with my mom and sister for a girls trip in October. We went purely for the scenery and relaxation not swimming. We piked up some lunch from Metropulos(which was wonderful) and a couple bottles of wine for a picnic. We parked free of charge right across the beach curbside in front of Four Seasons. We settled... Wonderful sunsets and beautiful people. The atmosphere here is completely magical. Sit on the cement wall and watch the sunset...make you glad you're alive.

A wonderful place to take a beach stroll, sit in the sun, or try a little boogie boarding or wave wading.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Santa Barbara. It does get a little crowded at times, but it's a fantastic beach. The only down fall is you cannot enjoy a glass of wine (or any alcohol) on this beach as the sun sets
