I agree with the other reviewer -- while this is attraction is not on par with Madame Tussaud, it is an interesting overview of Monterey's extensive and interesting history. The special effects were well done, and the timing of the walkthrough narration was adequate and unhurried. Very friendly staff -- there is no feeling of a commercial "hustle". Highly recommended! more

The Spirit of Monterey Wax Museum offers a nice little trip down the history of Monterey. The tour is a self-guided twenty minute excursion through various lighted scenes starting with the original Indian settlers all the way through the establishment of Cannery Row when sardines were the industry of the time.
