We did the first tour of the day, hoping to avoid getting seasick. We got lost driving into Monterey; called and were very patiently directed to the building. The water was a little rough and two of us got seasick, but still enjoyed it. The biologist was fun and informative. We were lucky to see humpbacks and Rissos dolphins esp... More

We did an afternoon whale watching trip with these people. They were very efficient in getting things going, and the best part of the trip was the marine biologist that led the trip. She was really knowledgable and had a very good sense of humor. She explained what we were looking for, how to spot whales, and explained how to... More

Amazing trip. We saw humpbacked whales, rissos dolphins and of course sealions in the harbour. Very impressed that all the boats talk to each other so that if one spots a whale sighting the others can get to the right area. The guide was informative and knowledgable. One of the highlights of the holiday, thoroughly recommended.

I know that nature is unpredictable so I went in to this with the plan that I would enjoy being out on the ocean and enjoying the view of the coast, seals, and water. I knew there were no guarantees that we would see sea creatures. We were really lucky and saw 4 grey whales, some dolphins, and some sea... More

Good tour to do, we saw grey whales and hundreds of dolphins, had hoped for more whales but it is seasonal and the morning time is also not the best time. But good tour, good guides and service on board, had a great time, certainly worthwile to go out there and see great views of Monterey and some animals.

If the sea isn't glassy calm, we suggest that you not eat heavily as those who did set personal best records for using upchuck bags on our trip during rather choppy seas. Crew was kind and helpful to those who needed it, which, fortunately, didn't include us. Whales appeared and disappeared under 8 to 12 foot swells. Like a very... More

The best advice I can give anyone is to read the reviews like I did before scheduling this trip, we had a blast the crew was informative though we saw only the tail fin of a gray whale and several spouts no breaching we knew from reading the reviews that seeing a tail especially of the lazy gray whales is... don't believe everything the brochures tell you, we talked to a employee at the place and were made to believe that we would very likely see whales. we were out for about 3-4 hours and were lucky to see a couple of dolphins. we were disappointed and i would not recommend this tour. it was basically a very expensive boat... Took the 10 am tour, which lasted a little more than 2.5 hours. The first part of the trip was good - informative and we saw two humpbacks. We chased them around for awhile, and then that was that. We 'searched' for dolphins for what felt like a long time. The water was choppy and though I've never had any... More

The boat was clean, the crew very nice, and while we were lucky and saw a ton of whales, sea lions and jellyfish, it would have been a nice cruise around the bay without it!
