We traveled the California coast and camped three nights with Morro Bay State Park being the last night camping. The park was very very crowded. There was another tent eight feet from our tent. Suprisingly it was fairly quite. The park is in town so getting supplies is no problem. The only negative to the stay was the bathrooms. People... more

I stayed for two nights at one of the group camp sites-- about a 1/4 mile from the main camp site. The site was easy to access with both a 14 passenger bus and van. The site had plenty of picnic tables & food storage boxes and enough space for setting up six tents comfortably. Bathrooms provide electricity and hot... more

This was a beautiful RV park in a lovely setting. The last mile of road driving in got a little bumpy but it was worth it. We showed up after hours. After finding our name on the park ranger window we easily found our parking space. The next morning we walked around with a camera and found thousands of birds... more

We were really looking forward to staying in Morro Bay State Park, but when we got there, it was a huge disappointment. It's right up against the golf course, and completely over run with trailers. We decided to just drive further up the coast and stay at San Simeon State Park instead. more

Morro Bay has always been a small treasure. My entire family has been visiting this park every year for Thanksgiving for almost 40 years. We love the area and wouldn't spend Thanksgiving anywhere else. Although the RV population has continuously been growilng over the years we still use our tents. We plan to visit Morro Bay every year for years... more
