Made a quick stop here while driving the magnificent Hwy1. Got here just in time for sunset and boy was I glad I made it!! The pictures tell the rest of the story. ENJOY!! more

We parked out by Morro Rock planning to sit on a bench and enjoy the view. Instead we went on a wondrous walk down the shoreline and even explored the tide pools by the rocks. We specifically made a stop to see Morro Rock as suggested by many here at TA (and by my Mom and Dad) and we are so glad we did. It was amazing to see this huge rock sitting right there! We took lots of pics and got to watch nature at it's best. Very neat! more

If you get a chance to spend a couple hours sitting on a rock near Morro Rock, you will see birds, sea lions, and if your really lucky otters. On our most recent a mother otter was actually teaching her baby to swim in the bay. We sat and watched for hours as they dove for food, and lazily floated... more

I rated this excellent. We live in the desert, so don't get to see the ocean much. The drive out to Morro Rock leads you past the the wonderful smells of the embarcadero...You don't realize how huge the rock is until you get so close to it. the road curves and you see people fishing along side the rocky areas... more
