When we visit San Fran, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is our top destination. It is located on Hwy 1 about 20 miles south of San Fran. What a cool, different place! At low tide, the ocean recedes to show seemingly endless tide pools filled with ocean life. Besides the kelp, we saw anemones, starfish, minnows, sea urchins, hermit crabs, sea snails, cool sea plants... the list could go on forever!
