Sweet little lake that you can hike all the way around if you want to. Plenty of trails. Dogs can swim in the lake and hike off leash. Many different parking areas and beaches, so don't settle for a crowded area. Some people do fish and boat. But no skiing, it's not that kind of lake.

The trail around the lake is breath taking, the lake itself is a wonder, but the RV park and camp grounds are so bad, it is hard to not give the whole place a bad review

The trail provides a pleasant stroll for stretching your legs after driving to Mt. Shasta. The bridge on the north side is very interesting and makes for great pictures. The trail is mostly level with plenty of shade for the warmer months.

Unfortunately there are few entrances to the lake that aren't too rocky and the one we did manage to find led to a red clay beach that provided mud that just wouldn't come off. I mean...I had a bath that evening AND went swimming... More

We drove near the lake and ventured the back woods of the area. Extremely quiet and serene.
