We absolutely loved it. We had to really beg and plead our tour operator to take us here and so glad that he did. Laura at the desk was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and she made it so much better. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed it tremendously. Don't miss out on their Cab 2007.

We liked their wine house and their selection of wine. Friendly and chatty staff. probably next time we will attend wine tour if they have something like that

It was great to get off the beaten path and check out this little winery. The wine was very drinkable, albeit a bit generic tasting. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

This is owned by the Terlato family who owns numerous wineries and does make good wine, but as a result it is a tad generic. But if you are a fan of the label stop in. But don't expect them to take it too personally.

1997 Elevage is what turned me on to wine. Great tasting if you like Reds from Stags Leap. Go early, after 3pm it's a lot of booze cruisers. Excellent wine club if you want to join one.

Funny, I had never heard of this winery until last Thursday, when I seemed to see the name everywhere. So when I stumbled upon it on the Silverado Trail, it seemed preordained--I had to stop. The location was beautiful with the Chimney Rock visible up on on the surrounding hills, and birds swooping in and out of the fog. The... More

Stag's Leap district wine and wineries are generally superior, but in the case of Chimney Rock we found the wine did not match the service or experience. The sample pours were the smallest of any winery we have ever visited (now about 135) and at $20 per tasting, it is reasonable to expect more than a thimble. We tasted 5... More

This was one of the many classy tastings we enjoyed (along with others of similar caliber; Pride, Pine Ridge, Frank Family) up and down the Valley. The ambiance of Chimney Rock just oozed "Napa" - scenic vineyards marching endlessly up the hills. The tasting room bar nurtures conversation not only with the one doing the pour, but with other fellow... More
