When I first visited this winery, I was overcome by its charm, lovely ambiance in a low-key atmosphere. Since the red carpet theme has been installed, they charge 25.00 per head (whether you drink or not, my husband was driving and did not wish to taste) to visit the the celler. I explained to the attendant I wanted to purchase... more

Ok so there is alot of wine in Napa but you will have a hard time finding it any better than this. All I can say is Wow to their Cuvee, Cask Cabernet & Rubicon. This is a must see in Napa dont miss out on this experience. We did the very simple vineyard tour and went out and ate... more

We went for the "Sensation Exploration" tasting. It is fairly expensive but includes the standard tasting as well. You are taken through several areas of the winery including the barrel area, old storage, and the newer sections. They bring out different smells (lemon, apricot, pear) for white wines, a few for a pinot noir, and several more for their cabernets... more

After seeing this beautiful place, I forgot all of the negative things I heard about the place. The interior of the place were the best of any of the wineries we went to in two days. The outside looked like a villa in Italy. Beautiful. There is a museum upon entering - shrine to Mr Niebaum, archives of the Copolla... more

We had a limited amount of time and my husband wanted very much to see Francis Ford Coppola's Estate, now Rubicon. Our car was quickly taken by the valet to park and we were directed fifty paces up the red carpet to our host. After the car was parked safely away, the host began explaining how their policy of wine... more

Francis Coppola has taken great care to reunite the Inglenook property and to restore its beauty and wine quality over the last thirty years. However, he realized that the presence of his 'Hollywood' museum was drawing in such large crowds that the experience was lessened for so many who wanted to enjoy the wines. As such, he renamed the winery...

My husband and I were in Napa Valley last month for my cousin's wedding (at Auberge du Soleil) and stopped by Frances Ford Coppola's Rubicon Estate Winery for a tasting. We were surprised by the changes since our last visit. What was once a sort of Disneyland for wine enthusiasts and novices had taken a step back, enhancing the experience... more

Since Rubicon has taken over operations of the Coppola Winery, what used to be a pleasurable experience has eroded into a tourist trap. Tastings are now $25.00 and the crystal stemware that one could take home, has been replaced by cheap glass. Moreover, the wines tasted were unremarkable. I look forward to the winery experience because this is an opportunity... more

Now called “Rubicon Estate”. Only costs you $25 per person (children free) just to enter the grounds. Yes, you get some tasting for this, but for a couple, $50 is quite a sum just to visit a winery. We turned around. Too bad, really was a nice place to visit. The good news is that there are tremendous amounts of... more

For a large winery, this is an excellent one to visit in Napa. The tasting rooms and wine shop areas are large and interesting. There is also a very interesting Centenniel Museum. This is a collection from Inglenook winery and Francisc Copolla Family. The interesting museum includes both cellar collection and also a sampling of movie costumes, props and awards.... more
