The Balboa Island Ferry is so much fun. It is worth a trip to Balboa just to go on it. It takes you a short 10 minutes to go across the harbor but all of 3 cars and people with bikes or walk on's are always there. Enjoy it!

You can get out of your car smell the salt air and see some wonderful boats sailing by. The fun zone on Balboa Island is like stepping back in time...

This ferry is a must see for anyone visiting Newport Beach. It gives you a great view of the harbor and is a lot of fun to get out of the car and feel the ocean breeze and salty air.

We parked our car in Newport and took the Ferry over to Balboa Island. It was awesome!! Really cheap, and though the ride is pretty short it was still well worth it. The water was beautiful, we saw tons of little sailboats and we got some great pictures from the ferry of the little homes and shops on the waterfront.... More

The only way to get there, pretty much. Just a short boat ride, nothing exciting

This ferry ride is spectacular. We walked on and took it across the bay to the fun zone. No waiting when walking on. It was a beautiful early evening and it couldn't have been a more wonderful ride. When we were done walking the fun zone and having dinner, we hopped back on and took it back across the bay... More

It's just a little shorter, but no less spectacular. On the right month Sea Lions in the bay, abundance of sailboats and motor boats (waiting for us when we get in their way)...and the fun feel of sea salt and wind in your face. Just a great experience! I take out of towners for a ride every time.

Taking the ferry across the bay is always fun for visitors to Newport Beach. Price is cheap and there are attractions on both sides of the bay. Can be a bit of a wait when busy if you take your car, but if you time it right you can get right on.
