while it's not worth a specific drive to (in my opinion of course) it is worth a short little visit if you are in the downtown area. being old enough to remember Woolworth stores probably helps enjoy the little 'museum' much more.

nice store with soda fountain. But "museumj" is just a few pictures and some memoribilia about Woolworth. Cute for about 5 minutes stop,.

While staying on the shore in Oxnard, we ventured downtown to South Avenue A, and found this real gem. Woolworth's is housed in the location of the oroginal Woolworth's department store. Borrowing on the 50's-60's theme, the Formica tables, booth and lunch counter-top seating, are indeed reminiscent of the old stores' set up. But there the similarities end, While I...
