we took the ride to the top on a monday afternoon around noon. four adults and two children (ages 2 and 3). the drive up to the main building was steep, over 2000 feet above sea level. when you actually get to the parking lot the walk up to the building is steep. i imagine this place gets pretty busy... more

I waited a long time to get on a tram car coming down. It really wore me out. It is nice up there but I would not do it again. Just the walk up the parking lot was exhaustive. And I am not a wimp and I am an outdoor person too. Scenery was very nice! more

The tram takes you up to 8500 ft above sea level to a plush forest. It is so unique to go from desert to forest. I highly recommend taking this in. The views from the top are sensational. You will not be disappointed. It is about 30-40 degrees cooler up there. Recommend taking a jacket. more

Travelled up August of this year.Ceratinly cooler on the top than 105 degree on ground level. Cost $78 for 2 adults and 2 children, which we thought was on the expensive side. Amazing! The tram ride was a little scary just due to the height and being suspended from a cable. Once at the top we hiked the Desert View Trail. The views were OUTSTANDING! Believe it or not there are actually trees there that smell like butterscotch. I recommend doing the ride and dine package. more
