I never thought my family would enjoy hiking out in the wild. But I was wrong! During a few morning hours we did two short but precious hikes in both Palm Canyon and Andreas Canyon. If you visit Palm Springs, please make sure not to miss a visit here! Paths are easy to follow. And if you keep your eyes... more

This is a MUST do while in Palm Springs. Just a 10 mns drive from Palm Springs downtown. Various hike trails depending on interests and capacities. We went to Palm Canyon - Victor trail (3 miles - easy - 1.5 hour). Indian artcraft at the Trading Post is very expensive though (and do not expect to meet any native americans).... more

I had seen depictions of oases in movies, and read descriptions in novels; but never have I been IN an oases until the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. It is beyond description. The Agua Caliente band of the Cahuilla indians charge to access a scenic area that has extensive hiking trails. The charge is $8 for adults and $4 for children. If you stop at the Palm Springs visitors center when you enter town you can buy tickets for a discount of $1 off each ticket. Tickets are good for any day.... more

If you enjoy scenery and nature, then WOW! ..this is the place for you to visit. The Indian canyons are a beautiful sight of desert, palm trees, flowing water, and beautiful hiking trails.
