This is a MUST do while in Palm Springs. Just a 10 mns drive from Palm Springs downtown. Various hike trails depending on interests and capacities. We went to Palm Canyon - Victor trail (3 miles - easy - 1.5 hour). Indian artcraft at the Trading Post is very expensive though (and do not expect to meet any native americans).... more

The Agua Caliente band of the Cahuilla indians charge to access a scenic area that has extensive hiking trails. The charge is $8 for adults and $4 for children. If you stop at the Palm Springs visitors center when you enter town you can buy tickets for a discount of $1 off each ticket. Tickets are good for any day.... more
