My husband and I often walk here and always bring any visitors we have. There is always something to see and it is refreshing to walk along the paths in the Baylands. And it is FREE!

Look for white pelicans and all kinds of ducks and water fowl year round. Walked here with my kids for years teaching them about the outdoors!

It's a peaceful escape, but nothing super special about this unless you grew up in a concrete jungle.

My husband and I took a post dim-sum stroll here on a recent getaway to the Bay Area. This was a good weekend for checking outdoors sites, and this was a very good stop. If you love walking in natural environments, you'll enjoy this preserve. It's quite large and peaceful in most places. Grab a map at the Nature Center... More

Nice trails, great place for a walk and to see some rare marsh birds.

This location is not far from my daughter's school. It is a beautiful place to walk, hike or bicycle. There are usually people out walking with their dogs as well.

This and nearby Shoreline Park are the most accessible and best birding on SF Bay. Thousands of shore and water birds rest here from August through May.

I am a bird guide in Portland Oregon so when we visited the area we had to check out what the web said was an amazing area for waterfowl. The web was right! I saw large numbers of ducks, raptors, shorebirds, wading birds and song birds. Also Pelicans and Grebes and a Bald Eagle. Very lovely trails, flat, lots of... More

We have taken many walks through the Baylands. A very peaceful place to enjoy nature. Sometimes a bit cold and windy, but it is outdoors? We prefer the early morning or sundown times, they seem to be least crowded times.

I love the wide open space here, and it's a great place to run. It's also an ideal place to take someone who walks with a cane, since it is all level. The paths are wide, so if you're walking with a group you don't all have to walk single file like you might on other trails. Along with the... More
