The light show is astonishing, the staff superb, but the food isn't quite what one might expect. Nonetheless, after two years booking my family Christmas Eve dinner at the Inn, I look forward to our third (27 people) for Christmas Eve 2012. This truly is an awesome experience, just not awesome food.

Be sure to take advantage of the docent-led tour. Unless you're attending a wedding or another special event, you may not be able to see the chapel or meeting rooms otherwise.

Nice museum with an exhibit of Mission artifacts that changes. It is also a gift shop w/ Mission Inn/ Mission of California gifts. They arrange tours of the Mission Inn as well.

Well worth the time and money, all sorts of behind the scenes places to see, and a great deal of history told by Docents that are entertaining and know their stuff. Bonus if you do it after checking out, they will hold your bags at the check in.

We took a "daycation" to Riverside last monday, partly to have lunch at a favorite spot of ours adjacent to the historic Mission Inn hotel in downtown Riverside. Lunch first at Simple Simon on the pedestrian mall, great soups, salads and sandies and terrific baked goods- the molassess ginger cookie is the best I have ever had. The Christmas cookie-... More

Whenever we have guests visiting us, we always take them to the Mission Inn. The Mission Inn dates back to 1903 and is one of Riverside's greatest treasures. The Mission Inn is made up of many different architectural styles and they all magically work together to create this beautiful landmark. Take some time to explore this historic place...youl'll find a... More

When we are home, we try to go here on Christmas Eve. It is magical. The carolers, the horse drawn carriages, the Presidents Lounge and Duanes for dinner. iI doesn't get any better than that.

This is always a favorite, especially at Christmas. There is so much effort put into making the displays spectacular. A must see for the entire family!
