The building is beautiful and the acoustics are great. I wish more shows and concerts would be scheduled there. The last thing we saw was Cheech and Chong. Very funny!!! We need more acts at that venue.

This glorious building lives on to represent the type of craftsmanship used in construction from the 1930's. Its brickwork is some of the best and most intricate designs we have seen. It is truly a unique place in Sacramento, and still functional all these years for various community events. We love this building!
Have attended 2 large cheer leading competitions here. Latest was 3/24/12. Building was clean (except for women's restrooms, which had plugged toilets and no locks on stall doors). Architecture is beautiful, photos inside are very entertaining to look at.
Enjoyed a beautiful dance show performed by a local dance school. The building itself is very impressive and very well maintained. Everything looks new, but 100 years old at the same time. Outstanding job of restoration and maintenance. Ample, easy parking nearby.
My family and I came to the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium to see the Big Time Rush concert and had a blast. There is close parking to this venue. The architecture of this building is goreous and historical. The inside of this venue is even better than the outside. This is probably one of all time favorite concert venues that I...

Call me prejudiced - in the day I saw the Beach Boys ( 3X), the Stones, Jimi Hendrix, the Kinks, and I can't remember who all else there. Oh, yeah, David Sedaris too. It's a lovely building with a good sound that was completely updated and earthquake-proofed recently. It's a sentimental favorite.
An older place to go for concerts and entertainment. The folding chairs used for the floor rows are tiny and not very comfortable to sit for long.
I went to Memorial Auditorium to see one of my favorite bands, unlike other venues, while Memorial is an older venue, it is maintained well, functioning toilets, clean floors, the seats are just auditorium seats but were ok for the time spent there.
Just liked the architecture of this old building. Only went to a graduation and love to see old places like this being used.
If you happen to attend an event in this venue, take time to appreciate the vintage architecture (1930s) and the gorgeous proscenium. Hard to imagine that it used to be used for boxing matches and the circus!
