Like all of their wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon “1886” is produced from grapes grown on their esteemed terroir on the western bench just north of St. Helena. The farming adheres to biodynamic principles and practices, and 100% of the vineyards are certified organic. Call the winery ahead to reserve your tasting. « less

Hard to find, but worth the hunt. This small winery is committed to 100% organic methods, and all of their profit is donated to a foundation for cardiovascular research. Oh- and it has excellent wines. Their wines put most of the big names to shame. We even signed up for their wine club- something we did not do at any... More

The tasting and wines did not live up to the building and grounds! The wines were average (though we all know these things are subjective), and we felt like an afterthought at our tasting. Our rep was bouncing between several groups, and we had a scheduled tasting. Seemed badly planned on their part. They had beautiful grounds though, and a... More

We visited this winery on a Saturday at our drivers recommendation when all the other wineries were very busy and this one had no one there. It was just OK. Their cause is great, we just didn't care for the wine.

The tasting room at the Ehlers Estate is a wonderful open space with exposed beams and stone. We had two prior tastings that were very intimate and personallized when we got to Ehlers there was a large bar and we were sharing the attention of the server. The server as we came to find out had only been in Napa... More

We fell in love (literally!) October 2010 with this place (and with each other in the Olive Garden!). The entire staff at Ehler's truly go out of their way to educate and please all five senses of their guests, new and returning (like us!). Take in the laid-back, quaint, and rustic surroundings of what they're all about...great wine, knowledgable and... More

Ehlers wine is exquisite - that's really all I can say about it. The owner of the B&B we stayed at suggested visiting this winery and I have to say that it is one of the best in Napa. Beautiful tasting room and beyond that extremely rich, bold and overwhelming wine.

This winery has consistently been our favorite over the years while visiting Napa Valley. It is an organic winery with all the grapes being grown right there at their vineyard. The tasting experience is like no other. You sit down on couches in a conversational setting. They bring the wine to you with an assortment of cheeses to pair with... More

We loved this place! They accommodated us even though we didn't have an appointment. They actually produce wine from organic grapes. They are also a non profit and donate to a foundation for heart research, I think. The salesperson also took us into the area of the holding tanks and then to the cask room and educated us about their... More
