We had a very nice experience at J Lohr at the end of the day during the Harvest Weekend in Paso Robles. The tasting here is complimentary and there is also a picnic area in the back of the tasting room overlooking the vineyards. The J Lohr winery is located not far from downtown San Jose and most people probably aren't even aware the tasting room is there. It is well worth finding. J. Lohr Winery tasting room in San Jose is a great place to do some wine tasting. Its very close to downtown San Jose (just off the Alameda) so makes it possible to enjoy a little bit of the "wine country experience" when visiting the area.
