There are so many excellent theatres in town that I've given up on Cal Poly's PAC - between the costs of the seats, the parking, and the hassle it just isn't worth it. Seriously, we've been to Lincoln Center, the Royal Opera house, Disney Hall, the Buenos Aires Opera House, SF Opera, the Tabernacle in SLC, etc. and the sound at the PAC is up there with any. Saw "Young Frankenstein the musical" here-great theater, easy parking. A caveat: if you use the Tripadvisor app on your mobile device, it gives you the wrong location on their "maps". The PAC is on the Cal Poly SLO campus.

We're fortunate to have a world-class Performing Arts Center in SLO at Cal Poly University. The schedule includes many international performers and the SLO Symphony, There is something every week and weekend.

Before I moved to SLO from Los Angeles, I spontaneously bought a ticket to see Joan Rivers at the Performing Arts Center. It was easy to find the parking area which was well staffed for directing traffic. PAC was a long overdue performing arts center that came to SLO about 12 (maybe 15?) years ago. We (the townfolk) needed it so bad as we had no other venues for entertainment.
