Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amber did a great job of calibrating my taste to the wines of Baileyanna and Tangent. I absolutely fell in love with the sauv blanc she recommended. But let me dial back the time machine. The Web site said reservations were required and if coming within 48 hours to call. I did the online request and left two messages. Because there was a nearby winery I also was happy to visit, I thought to stop by on spec, either to make a reservation or to sit. They did have room for us that moment (not long after they had opened). They were happy mid-week for us bring our picnic to the table. On weekends, they have food trucks. Anyway, Amber had made our experience a great one. Then a gust landed an umbrella from another table onto ours, tipping over our table. Luckily the glasses were empty, so no waste except from the water carafe and the four glasses we were buying to take home. A man, manager?, I didn’t get his name, comped us those glasses plus two more, plus a lovely True Myth red blend, his favorite of the three.

Lovely wines! Definitely stop by for a tasting or glass at Baileyana wines. I love their True Myth brand. Terrific service. Wonderful views - sit outside if weather allows.

Our server at Ada's Fish House in Pismo recommended Baileyana wine to go with our dinner, then convinced us to go wine tasting at their vineyard. We went the next day with our picnic lunch and did our wine tasting while picnicking at a table on the shaded patio. Our server, Brandon, was friendly and informative, and kept up with a huge crowd at the same time. I am not a big Chardonnay fan, but they had several on the tasting menu that we all enjoyed. The vineyard setting was beautiful and serene. The place was empty around 12:30 when we arrived, but was packed by 2pm.

Enjoyed tasting wines in a 100+ year old school house. The Niven family serve wines under a variety of labels. Baileyana, Tangent and True Myth. Come for the wines, stay for the boccie and the beautiful memories you'll make while relaxing.

Stopped here for wine tasting and a picnic lunch. Great selection of excellent white wines. Brought along sandwiches from Old Edna Deli. Very nice patio area. Tables with umbrellas and expansive views.

Our friends are members of this wine club and we just had to stop by for a tasting and a picnic. It is in a beautiful area and is surrounded by vineyards. Their spicey pinot noir is very unusual. The tasting room is very large and it is a good thing as it was very crowded on a Thursday afternoon. This is one of the oldest wineries in the valley.

We are members of their wine club and try to visit instead of just having them send the wines to us. We packed a picnic of bread, three cheeses, hummus, Chips, sausage, caviar, and some sparkling water, to go along with the chilled white wine we picked up as part of the wine club offering. Such a civilized and restful thing to do on a beautiful day in SLO! Thanks for having so many nice tables outside to share with friends and family!

I was my daughter’s DD for her Birthday with some of her friends. NICOLE was our server she was so awesome. I am not a white wine person but I enjoyed their white wines and their reds were nice. They have olive and salami and cheese platters which was great since we were hungry. Their wine tasting fee was 15 which was a great value. They have a good selection. This was a great experience for my daughter’s birthday. If you like some lovely white wines check it out.

Having driven past this tasting room several times since moving to SLO a few months ago, we finally stopped based on recommendations from a couple of longtime residents. We’re glad we did. It is one of the best wine tasting spots we’ve found in the Edna Valley and SLO region. The tasting room and gift shop are in an old, but nicely renewed school house at an elevated spot on a country road, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff are very friendly and the wines are very good. We tasted seven and bought four. Outside the tasting room there is a very nice patio, lawn seating area and garden. One of the highlights outside are a couple of bocce courts. This is a very enjoyable location for a relaxing tasting experience. It is also be a great location for a company or family event or a party with friends.
We will return.
