Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am not impressed at all! Have had a massage and a facial and neither were good so would not have gone back but then got a gift card for birthday for a facial and massage and had hoped it had improved but it didnt and on top of that the total time was only 45 mins when it should have been an hour. I do not recommend and I will never go there again. There are other better places in area to get facials/massages.

My partner and I came 01/24 & 01/25 for the hot tubs. . We had really bad service with Alexis. She didn’t look up when we walked in as well as the lady sitting down no greeting or simple hello. The whole experience checking in was completely negative from her. She Had very low spirits when talking to me and very negative I actually couldn’t believe she was the worker considering how beautiful and nice these tub experiences are that we had just discovered, we went this past Saturday as well and it was a great neutral check in. Hopefully someone can have a talk with her about how to properly treat guests. I also emailed them and no response in over a week. It’s a shame considering how relaxing this experience should be.

My husband and I planned a "staycation" at Sycamore Springs - a destination that has been on our bucket list for quite some time. The experience did not live up to our expectations. The good parts of our stay were actually really fantastic - dinner at the restaurant (definitely order the fried sprouts!), the 80-minute massage (one of the best I've every had) and our accommodations (a king suite). Unfortunately, the low points were very, very low - incredible rude staff at check in (including the manager) and in the bar, rundown outdoor hot tubs, and overall rushed service.

We enjoyed a 4hour trip down from the SF Bay Area and were taken to our room for two by a good natured young Adam. Upon our entrance, we could see our room provided everything we could possibly need. He showed us how to fill the spa. The water was nice and hot. We took a walk around and went across the bridge and up to the yoga dome. We visited the gift shop. All great. Food in restaurant was good but pretty rich and fattening. Chocolate cake so/so. The very best part was the water in the spring water filled hot tub. We used it several times per day. Didn’t need any lotion for our dry skin. My week long cold was healed! Definitely get a fill your own tub room, otherwise it has chlorine in it. Kind of defeats the purpose of this healing place. I wish they’d get rid of the kuerig. I prefer real brewed coffee. I’d like a little more eco friendly experience. I will return though, I love it here. Do it if you’re not tooooo picky! Ps. Had to clean a bit of long black hair from bathroom.(we are blonde)

I have to post a PSA and personal review of Sycamore Mineral Springs. I've told people to go here for years. Always highly recommended the private wooden deep HOT tubs. But now, I no longer suggest going here. My last visit was really disappointing.

They've sprayed fiberglass all over the tubs making them look cheap and fake. Instead of real wood decking they've put in trex everywhere and on the stairs, they don't have any nonslip paint or tape. They used to provide nice white plush towels. Now they are hard scratchy blue towels one might expect at an old run down gym.

Now the temperature of every tub is "self regulated" and in no way controlled by the guest. They say in a range from 101 to 104, I like it over 105 and that water was on the low end of 100 at best. Even after switching tubs, the second one was no better. They didn't even bother to take out the spigot that used to provide real HOT mineral water.

Speaking of water, it no longer smells of sulfur. It reeks of chlorine and we left our hour appointment at 30 minutes due to lukewarm water and burning eyes.

I want to repeal my recommendation for this place. If I've told you to go there and you did, I sincerely apologize. If you haven't yet, don't bother.

My wife and I booked massages at the spa while we were staying there. The communication to us about the program was not clear and incomplete, They shorted us 25% of our massage time, and he would not give us the hot tub soak that was included.

I was told that we would get a 30 minute soak in a hot tub included with our massage. I was not told is that we had ti arrive 45 minutes early to get the soak. We were staying in the West Meadow and called for a bellboy to bring us over to be there in time for an 845 early arrival for a 9 am appt. Bellboy never showed up and so at 8:55 we started walking to the spa and we got there about 905. They called us and said we were late and I said yes we are because your bellboy john never showed up. We started our 80 minute massages about 915 and the spa was not busy. At 10:20 our 80 min massages were ended And I asked to confirm if I got an 80 minute treatment and the masseuse Michelle said yes and walked out never to be seen again. The treatment was rushed and the pressure was too much anyways because she was in a huge hurry. When we were checking out I asked if we could get our hot tub soak and it said no that we missed it because we were late and that we would not get it. They gave us a mediocre discount on the service and again tried to blame it on us and say that they emailed us the schedule of the service but had no evidence of it it did not have my email address either.

An incredible location - lush greenery, a lovely bridge leading to a path to the beach, and the spas. I sat in the Rendezvous tub...surrounded by trees, the sun peeking through. The water was hot and instantly relieved aches and pains from walking up those stairs. WHOA! Very steep stairs and a lot of them, depending on your tub location. I was 3 flights up.
I felt secluded at the tub - don't worry about going au naturel.

I understand, due to health regulations they are required to put chlorine in the tubs now - as the tubs aren’t drained between uses. That is understandable, but what once was a mineral water soak, is now just a private hot tub rental moment. Nice oak tree surroundings, but the spa soaking experience itself was just like soaking in mine at home.
