This place is right across from Hearst Castle at the bottom of the hill. The pier is nice, not crowded, and many picnic tables are around for your lunch. Lovely little bay - would be great in summer. Quaint village - used to be a whaling station in years gone by.

We always enjoy visiting the pier and beach here because there are rarely very many people. You can walk along the beach into the cove, and then up along the ridge line, or you can walk under the pier in the south direction for a long ways. They have a small nature center and picnic tables, too. There are houses...
